CheyTac x Pelican: A Case Worthy of the M200 Intervention®
In 1976, scuba diver Dave Parker stood in a Torrance, California garage with a hockey-stick handle, a hundred feet of twine, and a metal weight. He needed a surface marker that would stay above water when the rest of his gear failed.
That became the first Pelican Float and launched the company’s long, storied history of manufacturing protective equipment. The first-aid kits that followed were built so well that divers reportedly discarded the supplies and kept the boxes, establishing the reputation that would eventually become Pelican’s motto: “Protecting All That You Value.”
Fifty years later, that same idea sits underneath the CheyTac M200 Intervention® in the form of a custom Pelican Air 1755. The case gives the complete M200 system a purpose-built way to travel, combining hard-case protection with a lighter, carefully organized transport package.
Why The M200 Needs A Specialized Case
The M200 Intervention® isn’t a rifle you can toss in a standard range bag and expect to be ready for the field. As a take-down ELR system, it features interchangeable .408 CheyTac® and .375 CheyTac® barrels, delivering sub-MOA accuracy and reliable performance at extreme long ranges.
With specs like that, the rifle never travels alone. The receiver and stock are packed with a spare barrel, bolt, suppressor, magazines, and the tools you need to keep the system running and ready to adapt in the field.
The precision of the weapon system requires logistical equipment that does more than just keep the rifle itself from getting scratched or knocked around. Each component must stay protected, separated, and organized so the complete platform arrives ready to assemble and use, without discovering that one damaged or misplaced part has compromised the rest of the system.
Why The Pelican Air 1755
The Air 1755 is the longest case in Pelican’s Air line, with 55 by 14 by 8 inches of interior space. That extra real estate gives the complete Intervention system enough room without forcing the components to compete for space around the rifle.
Pelican molds the case from its proprietary HPX-P polymer, which is rated up to 40 percent lighter than traditional cases while remaining waterproof, crushproof, and dustproof. The 1755 is also IP67- and MIL-SPEC-certified.
Its hardware follows the same practical approach. Stainless-steel bearing wheels handle movement across hard surfaces, while the XL over-molded handle provides a two-handed grip when you have to lift a loaded case.
Press-and-pull latches keep the case secure without adding unnecessary complexity. The exterior is all function, no frills, which is exactly what you want in a case built to take abuse and keep sealing trip after trip.

Built Around The Intervention
Every CheyTac-specified 1755 uses dense four-pound PE foam inside, cut to fit the M200 Intervention® system rather than a generic long-rifle outline. The rifle fits with its optic mounted, and both the spare barrel and bolt have their own dedicated spots.
The suppressor and four magazines each have their own cutouts. The cleaning and tool kit are stored in their own compartment, so everything you need to maintain or reconfigure the rifle is organized and ready to go.
Each case is designed to eliminate any kind of guesswork once it’s opened. Every major component has its own specified space, so you can see at a glance if anything is missing before you leave the staging area.
While the exterior keeps decoration to a minimum, we do specify one final CheyTac detail on the interior lid. The USA wings are pressed directly into the foam rather than applied as a decal.
What Makes It Worthwhile
The rifle and all its components are held in a layout built specifically for the M200 system. That means less improvising during transport and a cleaner, faster setup when you get to the range or field.
The lighter Air construction helps shed some welcome pounds off the carry weight when you’re already hauling a substantial rifle system. The wheels make it easier to get it through the parking lot, and the oversized handles are a lifesaver when you run out of road and have to lug the system to your deployment spot. Every pound saved on the case is a pound you don’t have to worry about when getting it where you need it.
In short, the case makes logistics a lot more convenient, so you spend less time and effort getting the rifle where you need it and more time shooting. Beyond aesthetics, these convenience and quality-of-life improvements give the Pelican case the edge over our standard case.

The Right Case For The System
Pelican built its reputation around a simple idea: protect the equipment people cannot afford to have fail. That same principle makes the Air 1755 a natural match for the M200 Intervention®, where the complete system has to arrive intact before any of its long-range capability matters.
Pelican provides a lighter hard case built for difficult transport, and the custom-designed interior is molded around the way the Intervention actually travels. It’s a combination made to optimize the M200 experience, and it’s why we call it the proper home for the weapon system.
Frequently Asked Questions: Pelican X Cheytac
The CheyTac x Pelican configuration uses the Pelican Air 1755 Long Case. It provides 55 by 14 by 8 inches of interior space and uses Pelican’s lightweight HPX² construction while retaining waterproof, crushproof, and dustproof protection.
The custom interior is cut for the M200 Intervention® with its optic installed, along with the bolt, spare barrel, suppressor, four magazines, and the cleaning and tool kit. Each major component has its own position in the PE foam insert.
The M200 travels as a complete take-down ELR system rather than as a single rifle. A custom interior keeps its precision components separated, supported, and organized so they do not shift or contact one another during transport.
